Most of the time things don’t go as planned.
You spend hours on details that are never seen. You wonder and worry and then everything happens. It always happens. Maybe not the way you intended it, but sometimes, that is where the beauty is.
Take this wedding. A beautiful couple, a picturesque location, an outdoor ceremony amongst grapevines. And rain. We are not talking a sprinkle, it just kept coming. All. Day. Long. The outdoor images were taken in literally the three 15-20 minute periods of time that it did not rain throughout the entire day, but oh my goodness did the rain make things beautiful.
The most amazing moment was right before the ceremony, they were bringing in the chairs to have the ceremony on the porch. Everyone was pitching in to help dry chairs and move things around. 5:00, start time, and we get a clearing in the clouds. I was jumping up and down on the inside to hear that the bride had said a prayer and to just go for it. We were doing this, and if it rains, well, it will be a wedding no one forgets! But it turned out to be absolutely stunning and as the bride was walking down the aisle, we got the last few sprinkles of the ceremony. It only started up again as we made our way back to the porch. Absolutely perfect. Those were not tears in my eyes, just the raindrops. ;)
So congratulations to this beautiful couple. They say rain on your wedding day brings good fortune. I think they will have their share! Enjoy this beautiful story…events occur in real-time.
